Great Rhode Island Fall Attractions

Doris Duke who owns Rough Point decided to restore Newport’s 18th century houses to their original conditions, furnishings included. My uncle, John Alden Lloyd Hyde, a noted antiquarian, worked closely with her to restore not only the history, but the ambiance of the times.
All of that aside, Rhode Island’s size makes it no less full of New England fall foliage attractions. There is a ski mountain in the state, but we couldn’t find a fall chairlift ride to its summit. Nonetheless, there are plenty of farms in Rhode Island lending themselves to the burgeoning, travel-sector newcomer, agritourism.

You can pick your own fruit, go on hay rides, maneuver your way through corn mazes and have a great deal of fun on Halloween night.

As with the other states in the region, there are plenty of other types of attractions here that allow you to leverage and get the most out of some super quality time with the family, spend time as a couple or even go from attraction to attraction yourself to take in the sites.

Rhode Island’s fall foliage is no less bright than is its neighbors’ to the north, and the seashore backdrop in Newport makes it all the more interesting.
